Teriyaki Steak Skewers

Making the Teriyaki Marinade

• Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, vegetable oil into a stock pan and bring to a boil
• Add the remainder of the ingredients and simmer for 30 mins
• Cook and refrigerate overnight

o 12 oz. soy sauce
o brown sugar (amount to taste)
o cooking sherry (amount to taste)
o green onions – thinly sliced (amount to taste)
o minced ginger root (amount to taste)
o chopped garlic cloves (amount to taste)
o vegetable oil (amount to taste)

Making the Steak Skewer

• cut steak into 1-1.5 inch cubes
• pour the marinade over the steak cubes – use a strainer to keep the steak down
• marinade the steak for 1-2 hours (pending thickness of the steak)
• drain marinade
• prepare the skewers – soak them in water for at least 30 mins
• add steaks and vegetables of your choice to the skewer
• brush lightly with oil
• grill on high heat to lock in the juices
• grill the skewers – about 1-2 mins per side
