The Saint John Police Force says the most recent shooting happened on Mystery Lake Drive, off Golden Grove Road, around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Police say the 17-year-old victim told officers he was walking along Mystery Lake when a vehicle drove past and he was shot.

The victim is expected to recover, but police say he is not co-operating with the investigation.

Second shooting in a week

Tuesday morning’s shooting was the second to occur in east Saint John since Friday, when a 22-year-old man was seriously injured after he was shot on Mountain Road.
