The mother of the eight-month-old boy, Kaleb Mckay, killed in Oshawa in late 2016 is now out on bail.
Jordan Brownell is charged with manslaughter and failing to provide necessaries of life.
She was in court on Thursday morning and was granted $10,000 bail.
As part of the 26-year-old’s conditions, she is now living with a family friend in Ingleside, Ont.
She also has to remain on the property at all times, and cannot have any contact with anyone 16 years old or younger.
Brownell is scheduled to appear in court again on August 20.
The other accused in the case, Denim Henderson, faces a number of charges including second-degree murder.
He will be in court on Friday.
Durham Regional Police arrested and charged Brownell and her 25-year-old boyfriend, Henderson, last week after a lengthy investigation.
