The second of two men suspected of a violent home invasion in June was arrested at his home Friday morning, according to police.
Police believe that on June 14, at approximately 2:30 a.m., two males had attended a home in the 700 block of Dufferin Avenue with their faces concealed.
The two suspects, one of which was carrying a sawed-off shotgun, forced their way in and confronted the lone occupant of the residence. Police said a shot was fired towards the victim but struck a wall. The victim was then hit over the head with the firearm, causing an injury.
The suspects stole several items and fled on foot, but while running down the back lane, one suspect tripped and accidentally discharged the firearm, police said.
