7 arrests, 30 charges laid in Westbrook drug investigation

Seven people are facing up to 30 charges following a two-day Calgary police drug investigation.

The operation which took place between June 27 and 28, focused on the Westbrook Mall area and Westbrook LRT station, police said.

“Community resource officers also engaged with local businesses, social agencies and city partners to help curb social disorder,” police said in a news release Thursday.

Police said methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl were seized in the operation.

Eileen Krumrei, 38, Luke John, 23, Richard Abdetunde, 31, Chase Poucette, 21, Colin Williams, 41, Deidra Meguins, 33, and Steven Dyck, 30, are facing various charges, including drug possession and trafficking, police said.
