Edmonton police are investigating a suspicious death after a man’s body was found in the north end.

Police said they received a report of gunshots at a home near 103 Street and 113 Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police found the man’s body at the home in the Spruce Avenue neighbourhood. It’s believed the man was in his 40s.

As of Tuesday afternoon, police said the victim had not been identified.

“A few people found within the residence and outside the residence. Yes, there were people leaving the residence when members came on scene. We’re confident those people have been spoken to or are spoken to,” Insp. Trevor Hermanutz said.

Police tape was put up around the home on 103 Street and an EPS SUV could be seen parked outside.

Hermanutz said homicide detectives are investigating the death and did interview several people Tuesday morning.

No one has been taken into custody to this point, Hermanutz said.
