Police were told the cyclist was allegedly struck by a 2014 Chevy Silverado heading south on 97 Street, just south of 144 Avenue.

The man driving the truck stayed at the scene until first responders arrived.

Investigators believe the cyclist was in easternmost lane of a three-lane, southbound road — and furthest away from the shoulder.

Police continue to investigate. They do not believe speed or impairment were factors in the crash. No charges are pending.

Late Friday afternoon, EPS said the cyclist was in critical condition.
