Duron Carter with the Saskatchewan Roughriders has one less legal battle to worry about.

The 27-year-old American athlete pleaded guilty to his marijuana possession charge in Winnipeg.

He was given an absolute discharge which means it will not appear on his criminal record.

According to his lawyer, Carter was caught with marijuana-laced cookies at the Winnipeg airport in 2017.

The CFL wide receiver and cornerback still faces a pot possession charge in Saskatchewan after being arrested at the Saskatoon Airport in February.
