Longoria regularly updated her fans on how her pregnancy was progressing over the past 10 months.

Before the birth, the Desperate Housewives favourite told E! News she was really looking forward to being a mom.

“I can’t wait to meet him! I just can’t wait to see what his personality is like, what he looks like, how much hair he’s going to have,” she said. “There’s so much to look forward to, and it’s becoming more real every day.”

She also opened up about what it was like to get pregnant after years of tabloid speculation that she was ready to give birth.

“For years they’ve been saying it. I’d have a burger and: ‘Eva’s pregnant!'” the actress joked to In Touch. “And then they go, ‘Eva’s fat!’ It was so funny, the one time they don’t say I’m pregnant, I am!”

She went on to say that though she was in her forties when she met her husband, she never worried about whether she could conceive.

“Women are having babies later and later, so I didn’t have that ‘biological clock ticking’ pressure. I [also] wasn’t with anybody for a while. I think babies are a product of love and partnership.”
