Although London did experience some power outages over the weekend due to the ice storm, other cities in southwestern Ontario were hit harder.
London Hydro will be sending help to the Aylmer and Beachville areas, after a request from the townships.
Many customers remain without power in the area, as 50 poles remain down.

“We are pleased to be able to provide assistance to customers in this area and are fortunate that our industry is always willing to help each other with these types of situations,” said London Hydro chief executive, Vinay Sharma.
“During storms, it is impossible to predict where the damage may occur and our concern is always to restore the power to customers safely and as quickly as possible.”
London Hydro will be sending four service crews (eight line workers and four single bucket trucks) to assist them in restoring power as quickly as possible.
The crews will arrive Tuesday afternoon and will provide assistance until their help is no longer required.
