A Burlington man, 43, is facing several charges after a London woman, 29, reported she had been sexually assaulted in a south-end hotel room.
According to police, the victim met the man on a dating site a few weeks before the assault. The two exchanged information and photographs and agreed to meet in person.

Police say that when they met, the man threatened to release her photos unless she complied with his demands. The victim alleged she was taken to a hotel room and sexually assaulted.
The victim sustained minor injuries as a result and contacted London Police Service immediately afterwards. London police contacted the Halton Regional Police Service and the suspect was arrested in Burlington.
London officers travelled to Burlington on Tuesday to return the suspect to London where he faces charges of sexual assault with a weapon or imitation weapon, forcible confinement, extortion, attempt to obstruct justice, and use computer/intend to commit computer offence.
