The RCMP major crimes unit is investigating after a 24-year-old man was found dead at the border between rural southeast Edmonton and Strathcona County.
Police responded at 9:20 p.m. Monday, after receiving a 911 call about a man on the road at Range Road 234/Meridian Street and Township Road 515, just south of the Anthony Henday Drive and Highway 14 interchange.
Police arrived to find the man was dead.

Strathcona County RCMP, along with help from Edmonton police, blocked off several rural roads around the scene, including Ellerslie Road at 17 Street.
It’s not known if there are any suspects. RCMP said limited information was available as the investigation was still in the early stages.
Anyone who may have seen anyone, or anything, suspicious in that area is asked to call the Strathcona County RCMP at 780-467-7741.
