Winnipeg Jets anthem singer Stacey Nattrass went shopping to update her wardrobe on Monday to get ready for this week’s home playoff games.
Nattrass is usually one of the first people fans see before the puck drops, so dressing for a Winnipeg Whiteout is top of her mind.
“As someone who’s going to be standing on the ice in the centre of it all, if I’m not wearing all white, then I’m in trouble,” Nattrass told Global News at Polo Park Mall.
This year will be the second time Nattrass gets to sing the anthem during playoff games. She said going in front of a playoff crowd is a different beast.
“Everything is just amplified,” Nattrass said. “It’s that much more exciting and there’s that many more people watching, it’s awesome.”
Aside from sporting her typical jersey and pants, Nattrass said the only other way she can individualize what she wears is with earrings and shoes.

After replenishing her supply of makeup, Nattrass purchased two pairs of white high heels. One flat and one sparkly.
“I’ll probably wear the sparkles on game one,” she said. “Got to go all out.”
