Waterloo Regional Police say after further investigation, an abduction did not happen in Kitchener on Wednesday night.
Officers received a report of an altercation between a man and a woman at around 11:30 p.m. on Robert Ferrie Drive.
A witness reported seeing a black car pull up and then the driver, along with another man, forced the woman into the car.

Police had asked for the public’s assistance, but said after officers canvassed the area, they managed to locate everyone involved, who were all known to each other.

Officers determined there was no evidence of any criminal offences and did not lay charges.
