“The driver of the car was travelling northbound at the time and the driver of the motorcycle was travelling southbound,” said Const. Marylou Schwindt.

It’s the second crash on Wellington Road 7 this week after a cyclist was killed on Tuesday morning in a crash with a pickup truck just north of Guelph.

No charges have been laid in either fatal crash.

Schwindt said more vehicles will be on the road as the weather warms up and everyone has to take extra precautions.

“The operators of these bikes and motorcycles have a responsibility to ensure that their equipment adheres to the safety requirements outlined in the Highway Traffic Act,” she said. “The drivers of automobiles need to share the road.”

Any witnesses to either crash are asked to call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
