Toronto police say a male motorcyclist has died after a head-on crash near the city’s downtown late Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Mount Pleasant Road near Carstowe Road, south of St. Clair Avenue East, happened at around 5:50 p.m.
A police spokesperson said the motorcyclist was thrown, and someone passing by attempted to perform CPR.
The man, who hasn’t been identified, later died.

Police closed the immediate area as officers gathered evidence as a part of their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the crash.
