Belleville police ask public to help identify robbery suspects

Belleville police are asking for public assistance to identify two suspects in a recent armed robbery.

Police say at about 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, two men, brandishing weapons, entered Dale’s Place convenience store on South Park Street.

The suspects demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money and then fled on foot, while a third man was waiting outside.

A search that evening by the police canine unit came up empty.

The first suspect is about five-feet-seven-inches tall, and at the time was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, red and black gloves and mirrored sunglasses.

The second man is over six feet tall and was wearing blue jeans, a dark sweater and black sunglasses. Both men wore masks.
