‘Kick-Ass 2’ trailer shows off Toronto

TORONTO – The first trailer for this summer’s Kick-Ass 2, featuring a costumed Jim Carrey strolling down Toronto’s iconic Yonge Street, has been released online.

The red-band trailer contains violent scenes and foul language from the movie, which was filmed in Southern Ontario last fall.

The sequel to 2010’s Kick-Ass (which was also shot in Ontario) has Chloe Grace Moretz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Christopher Mintz-Plasse reprising their roles as everyday crime fighters. Carrey, a Toronto native, joins the cast as Colonel Stars and Stripes.
