Summerland Steam forward Scott Robinson single handedly staved off elimination for his team Thursday.
The Steam were down three games to one against the Kelowna Chiefs in the first round of KIJHL playoff action.
The Steam were desperate for a win to stay alive and Scott Robinson provided it.
Robinson scored twice in the first period and added another two goals in the third as the Steam rolled over the Chiefs by a score of four to two.
With 24 goals and 37 assists, Robinson was the Steam’s leading scorer in the regular season but he pointed to the play of goaltender Matthew Huber as the difference last night.
“He’s great, he gives us confidence in everything we do. Hubs has had our back all season, it’s just what he does for us.”
The series now shifts to Summerland for game 6 Friday night with the Kelowna Chiefs leading the best of seven series 3 games to 2.
