Snowstorm caused flight disruptions at Okanagan airports

A snowstorm in Vancouver is creating trouble for people flying out of the Kelowna airport.

As of Friday afternoon, six flights Friday from Vancouver to YLW didn’t take off.

That resulted in the cancellations of the six return flights to YVR.

Numerous other flights at the Kelowna airport have been delayed for between 30 minutes and three hours.

“All our delays and cancellations are due to weather on the coast,” says YLW spokesperson Jasmine Patrick.

Several flights between Vancouver and Penticton were also cancelled Friday.
