Two injured after early morning stabbing in Vancouver

Vancouver police (VPD) continue to investigate after a stabbing that happened in the area of Princess Avenue and Powell Street at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials confirm a 49-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were found in the area with stab wounds and taken to hospital with serious, but what is now believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

A 23-year-old man has since been arrested.

Police believe the suspect and victims know each other and that the incident was not random.
