RCMP continue to investigate suspicious death of Tony Vaillancourt

New Brunswick RCMP are continuing to investigate the suspicious death of a man from Morrell Siding, N.B., that occurred last year.

According to the RCMP, Tony Vaillancourt, 42, was first reported missing on May 6, 2017.

He had reportedly not been in contact with friends or family since April 9, 2017.

A body was later recovered from the Saint John River near Tobique Narrow, N.B. on August 2, 2017.

An autopsy was performed and further investigation from the Mounties positively identified the remains as belonging to Vaillancourt.

They have since determined that his death is suspicious.
