Shot fired at a rural home near Battleford, Sask.

Battlefords RCMP said a shot was fired at a home during a break and enter attempt at a rural property west of Battleford, Sask.

Officers were called to the home at around 5 a.m. CT Sunday for a report of a break and enter.

They were told someone had been seen breaking into an outbuilding before firing a shot at the home, breaking a window.

No one was injured.

The suspected then fled on foot to a waiting vehicle.

The only description police have is the suspect is approximately five-foot seven, had a back pack, and was wearing dark clothing.

The forensic identification section is assisting Battlefords RCMP with the investigation.
