Suspects sought in recent west Edmonton home invasions

EDMONTON- The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men officers believe are responsible for two recent home invasions in west Edmonton.

Police believe the men are armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

The first break and enter happened on Tuesday, February 19 around 1:30p.m.

Police say two men armed with handguns allegedly forced their way into a home on Hammond Crescent in the west end. It’s alleged the two suspects assaulted a man inside the home and demanded money from him. The man was able to get away and called police from a nearby business.

The second home invasion happened on Tuesday, February 26 around 5:30p.m.

Officers say two men with handguns allegedly forced their way into a town house in the Callingwood neighbourhood. According to police the suspects threatened two people inside the home and stole a laptop computer and an iPhone. Police say neither of the residents were injured.

Police do not believe these home invasions were random, and say they are both drug related.

In both cases the male suspects were wearing brown coveralls and ski masks or balaclavas. One of the men is described as being a non-caucasian male, 6′ 0″ tall, approximately 200 pounds with a dark complexion.

The second man is described as caucasian, shorter and smaller than the first suspect.
