UPDATE – RCMP say the transport truck is the only vehicle involved in the crash which happened just after 9:30 a.m. near Kekuli Bay Road.

The truck driver and a passenger, both from the Lower Mainland, were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

“Motorists on the road are fortunate that this incident was a minor one, although causing long traffic delays,” said RCMP Cst. Kelly Brett. “The outcome could have been a lot more severe.”
