“We think this is just a crime of opportunity, somebody passing by the building,” Const. Jay Murray said.

“We don’t believe he had access to any area that could impact our operations – the majority of the building is empty and vacant, but there are a few areas that continue to support our operations and that’s the reason the building is monitored and heavily alarmed.”

When police apprehended the man, they found he was already wanted in connection with a car theft in the RM of Springfield in November 2016.
