Nearly four months after police were called to reports of multiple gunshots being fired at an address on Wavell Street, a London man has been arrested in British Columbia.
Ayanle Aden, 23, was located and arrested in Victoria, B.C., with the assistance of the Victoria Police Department. He’s being held there while arrangements are being made to return him to London.
On Aug. 29, police were called to reports of gunshots at Wavell Street, near Dundas Street, just after 6 p.m.
No injuries were reported, but police found multiple bullet casings and two vehicles that had been hit. Police also recovered a firearm.
Aden is charged with the following offences:
- Discharge firearm with intent to endanger life
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a restricted firearm without a licence
- Possession of a prohibited device without a licence
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Possession of a firearm that had been obtained by the commission of an offence
- Two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited
- Three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance
- Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking
