Worried the Grinch would steal Christmas, a five-year-old boy from a Mississippi decided to take matters into his own hands by calling the police last weekend.
TyLon Pittman of Byram, Miss., had been watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas on Saturday and became so afraid his Christmas presents would be stolen, he called 911.
“Because he (the Grinch) wanted to be naughty,” TyLon told NBC affiliate WLBT.
He then told his mother about the call and before they knew it, police officers from the Byram Police Department showed up at the door.
With the officers responding to the call, TyLon showed them YouTube videos of the suspect.
In a video posted on Facebook by TyLon’s older brother, an officer asks TyLon a question about the Grinch.

“What are you going to do if he tries to steal your Christmas?” she asks.
He responds with a simple answer: “I want ya’ll to come to my house and take him to jail.”
Then the officer tells him she won’t let the Grinch steal his Christmas.
Two days later, he is brought to the police station and taken to where a car is waiting with the Grinch waiting inside.
With help from police, TyLon then takes the man dressed up as the Grinch and places him in a holding room, locking the door behind him.

The five-year-old then enters the room to have a one-on-one with the Grinch, who police said was feeling “a little bit sorry that he was going to get away with stealing Christmas.” The Grinch even told him he “saved the day.”
After the one-on-one, TyLon was shown around the police station and the Byram jail. He also offered his services to the police if they needed him again in the future.
