N.B. woman shot, RCMP asking for public’s help

RCMP are asking for the public’s help after a woman was shot in Pointe-du-Chêne, N.B. on Sunday.

The Mounties say that police were called to a home on King George Street shortly before 3:30 a.m., where they found that a woman had suffered a gunshot wound from a firearm.

The woman was taken to the hospital and was released after being treated for minor injuries.

Three individuals who were at the home at the time of the shooting were taken into custody and later released.

Although police believe this was an isolated incident, they say their investigation is ongoing.
