A woman in her 20s suffered serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash in Selwyn Township on Thursday morning.
Peterborough County OPP say around 10:30 an eastbound car failed to make a turn while travelling on Yankee Line in Ennismore, just east of Boundary Road. The vehicle then veered into the westbound lane and entered a ditch before slamming into a tree.

CHEX News has learned the driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was then taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre with serious injuries. An Ornge air ambulance was on standby at the hospital for a possible transfer, however, it was not utilized.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The road reopened around 2 p.m.
