The Edmonton Oilers are back at Rogers Place, but so far this season home ice hasn’t been an advantage.
The Oilers are just 3-6-0 at home while going 3-3-2 on the road.
“We check on the road. You don’t keep teams to one or two by accident. We check on the road. When we get home, we have a tendency to want to open it up,” head coach Todd McLellan said.
“When we look at some of the situations we’ve given up goals or chances on, there has been some cheat in our game.”

The Oilers host the Vegas Golden Knights Tuesday night. It’s the team’s first-ever meeting against the expansion team, which has gone 10-5-1 so far.
“I think it’s just a hard-working team which executes and plays a full 60 minutes, so we’re going to have to do that,” defenceman Kris Russell said.
Winger Drake Caggiula, who hasn’t played since blocking a shot a week ago against the New York Islanders, took the morning skate but isn’t expected to play. The Oilers projected lineup is:
Maroon – McDavid – Draisaitl
Lucic – Nugent-Hopkins – Puljujariv
Khaira – Strome – Pakarinen
Malone – Letestu – Kassian
Nurse – Larsson
Klefbom – Benning
Auvitu – Russell
