RCMP have arrested a 20-year-old Calgary man after shots were fired in Chestermere earlier this week.
Officers were called to a home in the community of Westmere at around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29.
RCMP believe the incident started after a fight broke out at a social gathering. One man was kicked out of the home after the fight, but police allege he pulled out a gun and fired at the residence as he left. The bullets hit the home and a parked car.
Nobody was injured, and the suspect was able to leave before officers arrived.
Jeevan Parhar was arrested by Calgary police on an unrelated matter on Tuesday. He was then turned over to Chestermere RCMP and now faces several weapons-related offences.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Chestermere RCMP at 403-204-8777 or contact Crime Stoppers.
