A senior was taken to hospital after she was struck while crossing the main street through the village of Norwood, Ont., on Wednesday night.
Emergency crews were called to the scene at Highway 7 and Peterborough County Road 45 just before 7 p.m., about 33 kilometres east of Peterborough.
Police determined that an eastbound car on Highway 7 was driving through a green light when it collided with a pedestrian crossing against a light in the crosswalk.

The 75-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Highway 7 was partially closed for several hours. Police continue to investigate the collision.
