A hefty handful of charges have been laid following an armed robbery in Cold Lake, Alta. earlier this month.
An investigation by Cold Lake RCMP led to the arrest of Leonard Joseph Fellows, a 24-year-old from Trail, B.C.
On Oct. 15, a taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint while driving a client through Cold Lake. The client pointed the firearm at the taxi driver, before making off with the vehicle.
Fellows has been remanded into custody, and faces nine charges including:
– Using a pistol during the commission of an indictable offence
– Pointing a Firearm
– Possession of a Weapon for the Purpose of Committing an Offence
– Possession of a Firearm Knowing he wasn’t the Holder of a Licence
– Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited x 2
– Assault With a Weapon
– Robbery With a Firearm
– Obstructing a Peace Officer
– Fail To Comply With a Recognizance
Fellows will appear in Cold Lake Provincial Court at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25.
