Police have charged two people after an estimated $33,000 worth of cocaine was seized from a Lethbridge home on Thursday.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) said the drugs were found during the search of a home in the 1200-block of 6 Avenue South, in addition to a 12-gauge shotgun, drug trafficking paraphernalia and $4,815 in cash.
“This was a short-term investigation, but the significance cannot be underestimated for neighbouring residents,” Staff Sgt. Jason Walper said in a Friday news release. “Drug trafficking brings unwanted crime, violence and threatens community safety.”
