Drug trafficking charges laid against former Sipekne’katik chief
Nova Scotia RCMP have laid drug charges against the former chief of the Sipekne’katik First Nation.
Jerry Francis Sack, 55, was arrested following a targeted traffic stop on Indian Road on Oct. 6.
Police allege Sack was a passenger in a vehicle when they found him in possession of a significant quantity of prescription pills – including hydromorphone, Dilaudid, and Percocet.
RCMP say the woman driving the vehicle was not implicated in the offence
RCMP say Sack was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court on Nov. 27.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
