Some crazy weather for residents of South Surrey Wednesday morning, with hail so thick it made some areas look like a winter wonderland.
Many people posting to social media wondered if snow had fallen on the ground.
The erratic weather is due to a low pressure centre over the Lower Mainland this morning according to Global BC meteorologist Mark Madryga.
The air mass is very unstable, and along with heavy showers, lighting has struck in a few areas.
Hail has also fallen heavily, especially in the Surrey area.
Madryga said a continued risk of lightning and hail will exist through the remainder of the morning in the entire Lower Mainland before some clearing develops this afternoon.
