London’s Saturday Farmer’s Market changes hands

A change of seasons has brought a change of ownership for London’s Saturday Farmers’ Market.

The weekend staple has been owned by Dave Cook for nine years and he announced on Facebook its sale to the Western Fair District.

Cook, who is also the founder of Fire Roasted Coffee, said it’s been his pleasure and privilege to lead the market since 2008.

He and a group of vendors took it over when its operation fell into jeopardy.

In his Facebook post, Cook says it has been his “pleasure and privilege” to lead the market over the past nine years.

Cook says he’ll help the Western Fair District through the transition of ownership.

The market runs every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features about 80 vendors.
