Human remains discovered on Gagetown Island, N.B. by boater

RCMP in New Brunswick are investigating after a boater found human remains in the Jemseg area.

According to police, the boater made the discovery on Gagetown Island, which is in the St. John River, at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say there is no indication of foul play at this time, but further tests are needed to determine the person’s identity and the cause of death.
