Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in northeast Edmonton’s Beverly area, were a body was found early Tuesday morning.
Police initially responded around 4:35 a.m. to a request to help EMS at the scene of what was believed to be a single-vehicle collision near 37 Street and 118 Avenue.
A news release from EPS said officers arrived to find a man dead in a vehicle, with wounds not consistent with a collision.
A body could be seen on 37 Street, north of 118 Avenue, in the Beacon Heights neighbourhood. A nearby car also had a window smashed out.

No further information was provided.
Edmonton police have investigated several deaths in recent days.

On Monday afternoon, homicide detectives were called to investigate a “suspicious death” at the same north side multi-unit residential building where an elderly man was found after being shot to death last week.
