Police said the victim was assaulted after interrupting a crime in progress. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. RCMP did not release details of the crime.

Police are now looking for witnesses or anyone who might have information on the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575.
