A Duncan family fears a recent tragedy might have sent a missing mother into a downward spiral. Neetu Garcha reports on the desperate search – Sep 12, 2017

A Vancouver Island mother has not been seen since Tuesday, Sept. 5, and her family and friends are very concerned about her.

Susan Mitchell, 34, was last seen that day around 9 p.m. in Duncan.

At this time, police are not releasing any further details about where she was seen specifically.

Mitchell is described as Caucasian, with blue eyes, brown hair, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 154 pounds.

“Susan’s family and friends are worried and haven’t heard from her. This is out of character for Susan. We’d like the public’s help to track her down” said Cpl. Kiel Pharis of the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP in a statement.
