The winners of one of Winnipeg’s most popular competitions were announced Sunday afternoon.

ManyFest’s Food Truck Wars saw 42 different food trucks compete for various awards. In the end, there could only be four champions:

  • ‘Best Presentation’ went to Winnipeg’s famous BDI, with Tokyo Rabbit snatching the runner-up prize
  • The ‘Best Bang for Your Buck’ award was won by The Churro Stop — Smokin’ Haut came in second place
  • The ‘Most Original’ winner was Wiggle Chips, followed by Island Fusion
  • ‘People’s Choice Award’ was taken by three-time defending champion Kyu Grill — Red Ember was the runner-up

The Food Truck Wars’ first three categories were judged by a panel of four — including Global News’ Brittany Greenslade — while the People’s Choice award was decided by the thousands that turned up for the weekend’s festivities.
