Calgary police have released photos and video of an attempted ATM theft at a southeast Boston Pizza location earlier this week.

It happened in the 2800 block of Memorial Drive S.E. at around 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5 while the restaurant was open.

In a Thursday news release, police said two men hooked a yellow strap to the ATM in the foyer of the eatery. It’s alleged they then tried to drag the machine out of the building with a vehicle.

They weren’t successful and left the area in an SUV when approached by staff.
