Montreal police investigating alleged arson in TMR

Montreal police say a car dealership in the Town of Mount Royal has become the target of an alleged arson attack for the second time in less than a month.

The incident took place around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on Côte de Liesse Road near Lucerne Road.

“The fire that started on the roof was quickly controlled by the fire department,” Jean-Pierre Brabant, Montreal police spokesperson, said.

Brabant said an incendiary device was found and the owner of the store will meet with investigators.

Investigators will be on site to conduct an analysis.

On Aug. 13, a window of the business was broken and several incendiary objects were found inside the building.
