A maximum security prison in New Brunswick in now in lockdown after an inmate was assaulted on Thursday.
The inmate was found at around 10 P.M. on August 17, eventually being taken to a hospital to receive treatment.

Part of the Atlantic Institution remains in lockdown. Officers of the institute as well as investigators from the New Brunswick RCMP are looking into the incident.
No staff members or other inmates were injured.
