Nearly 570 people were paid over $100,000 while on the Halifax Regional Municipality’s payroll this past year.
The data comes from an analysis of the HRM’s compensation disclosure list which was released on Monday. The document details what the municipality paid to any person who earned $100,000 or more in a single fiscal year.
The list is the second time the HRM has pulled back the curtain on its public employees’ finances. The first disclosure was posted last year.
The figures include salary and any benefits that they used during the time period of April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017.
