Police investigate death of woman pulled from Lesser Slave River

RCMP say the death of a woman whose body was pulled from Lesser Slave River in northern Alberta earlier this week is suspicious.

The woman has been identified as 21-year-old Nicole Robar. Police said she was in Slave Lake on July 10 and reported missing on Aug. 1.

Robar’s body was recovered from Lesser Slave River on Saturday.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is now leading the investigation. On Friday, police searched the river for evidence.
