Motorists are reporting that the Trans-Canada Highway has fully reopened east of Golden.
Traffic headed to Alberta on the Trans-Canada Highway was held up earlier on Tuesday.
Drive BC tweeted late Tuesday morning that the eastbound lane of Highway 1 was closed east of Golden because of a “police incident.”
Global News has reached out to the RCMP and Ministry of Transportation for more details on what caused the closure.
Drive BC said the same incident was also slowing down traffic headed west.
