Even though the seventh season of the HBO show has yet to premiere, many people can access an abundance of spoilers online thanks to some long-lens paparazzi photos, images captured by drones and Reddit leaks from people who appear to be in the know.

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the “Jon Snow” actor wasn’t shy about his feelings towards keeping the show’s secrets safe.

“I think we did everything we could. There’s only so much you can do when you’re filming in these beautiful locations and you can’t shut places off,” he said.

Harington added: “You have to deal with these, frankly, a**holes who want to spoil it for people.”

“I know there’s money involved, but I just got so… I’m so protective over this show now. I’m so fond of it and as it gets towards the end, and all these exciting things happen, which I want to be shocks for people, it really infuriates me when I see someone ruining that [for] people,” he said.

Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth, criticized people who leak information about the show while speaking to media from Southeast Asia.

“They want something for their timelines, I suppose. ‘Oh, look what I know and what you don’t know,'” he said. “I feel sorry for these people. I really feel sorry for them.”

He continued: “They’re sad. They’re not evil, but they’re sad. It’s a silly, stupid thing to do.”

“Why do you want to spoil the enjoyment of other people?” he asked.

With a shortened season this time around (there are only seven episodes instead of the usual 10), there will be more action and drama crammed into each episode, and this trailer has certainly upped the anticipation of what’s to come.

HBO has already announced that the season finale will be the longest Game of Thrones episode to date, lasting 81 minutes.

Season 7 of ‘Game of Thrones’ starts up on July 16 on HBO Canada.
